Pledge to support Earth Hour 2024 – lights-off for Earth Hour!

The Hong Kong Academy of Medicine acknowledges the global crises we face and recognizes each action we take has far-reaching consequences for our collective future. We are dedicated to fostering environmentally conscious behaviour in our daily actions to fight against climate change and loss of nature.  Together with our constituent Colleges, staff, and partners, we embrace sustainable practices and pledge to changing the way we live to safeguard our planet for generations to come.

Earth Hour is the largest global environmental movement that enjoys enthusiastic participation from cities around the world and is supported by major sectors in the community. Hong Kong first joined Earth Hour in 2009, with prominent city landmarks including the International Finance Centre, the Cultural Centre and the Tsing Ma Bridge going dark for one hour. This year, it falls on Saturday, 23 March 2024 at 8:30pm. Click here for further details of the initiative.
