- Register Now: Seminar on Advance Medical Directives in the post ADLSTO era
We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the Seminar on Advance Medical Directives in the post Advance Decision on Life-sustaining Treatment Ordinance (ADLSTO) era, jointly organized by The Task Force on Advance Medical Directives under the Professionalism and Ethics Committee and the Jockey Club Institute for Medical Education and Development of the Academy. The seminar is scheduled for 4 October 2026 (Sunday), 9:15am – 12:30pm.
Since the introduction of the ADLSTO by the Government in 2024, the Academy has been developing and providing different resources to prepare Fellows and healthcare professionals for the Ordinance, which includes releasing the “Best Practice Guidelines on Advance Medical Directives (AMD)”, and organising two seminars on AMDs to better equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to navigate relevant issues. As the Ordinance became effective on 31 July 2026, this seminar will focus on some of the major changes in practices in the post ADLSTO era.
Please find the event details, tentative programme and results of CME/CPD accreditation here.
Register now! Seats are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please register on or before 24 September 2026.
We look forward to your participation in this seminar.
