Compliance with CME/CPD requirements for cycle 2023-25

19 . 12 . 2025

The current CME/CPD cycle for Academy Fellows will end on 31 December 2025. All Fellows who are on the Specialist Register (SR) of the Medical Council of Hong Kong or the Dental Council of Hong Kong are required to comply with the Academy’s CME/CPD requirements to keep their names on the SR. To facilitate timely reporting to Medical Council of Hong Kong / Dental Council of Hong Kong, Colleges must update Fellows’ CME/CPD compliance status to the Academy immediately after the cycle ends. Except for those who have been exempted from CME/CPD requirements due to retirement, Fellows are also required to fulfil the CME/CPD requirements to retain their Academy Fellowship. Fellows are hereby reminded to make sure they will obtain the required CME/CPD points by 31 December 2025, and to make up any shortfall without delay.

According to the Principles and Guidelines on CME/CPD for cycle 2023 - 25, Fellows residing in Hong Kong or overseas must fulfil the full requirements of the CME/CPD programme by the end of each cycle. Fellows may check with respective Colleges about the details of recognising overseas CME/CPD activities or overseas colleges’ CME/CPD programmes for CME/CPD claim.

To facilitate efficient communication, Fellows shall send the notification of change of address and provide the valid email address to their Colleges and the Academy in a timely manner. To preserve the environment by reducing paper usage, Fellows will receive electronic CME/CPD certificate via email after their completion of the CME programmes for the cycle 2023-2025.
