Compliance with CME / CPD requirements for cycle 2023-25

The current CME / CPD cycle for Academy Fellows will end on 31 December 2025. All Fellows who are on the Specialist Register (SR) of the Medical Council of Hong Kong or the Dental Council of Hong Kong will need to fulfil the Academy’s CME / CPD requirements to keep their names on the SR. Except those exempted for CME / CPD due to retirement, Fellows are also required to fulfil the requirements to retain the Academy Fellowship. Fellows are reminded to make sure they will obtain the required CME / CPD points before the end of 2025, and to catch up if the number of points they have obtained falls far behind the requirements.

According to the Principles and Guidelines on CME / CPD for cycle 2023 - 25, Fellows residing in Hong Kong or overseas must fulfil the full requirements of the CME / CPD programme by the end of each cycle. Fellows may check with respective Colleges about the details of recognising overseas CME / CPD activities or overseas colleges’ CME / CPD programmes for CME / CPD claim.
