The Task Force on Genetics and Genomics under Academy’s Professionalism and Ethics Committee, and the Hong Kong Genome Institute will co-organise a symposium on “Embracing the Era of Genomic Medicine: Research, Training and Clinical Applications” on 20 May 2023 (Saturday) from 1:45pm to 5:45pm at the Academy Building.
In recent years, advances in genetics and genomics have significantly improved our understanding of the human genome and the progression of diseases, bringing about more accurate diagnosis, personalised treatment and preventive measures to patients and the wider community. With the exciting developments in the field, this Symposium will bring together renowned international and local experts to discuss cases and offer insights on genomic medicine, ranging from professional training to research and clinical applications.
