This year, the Academy was honoured to have Professor Philip Chiu, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of The Chinese University
of Hong Kong, as the Orator. He shared his insights on the ‘Surgery in 2035’.

The Academy presented several awards and prizes for the year 2025 during the 32 Annual Fellowship Conferment Ceremony.

Dr. Lynn Shong and her team were recognised for their Dr. Suet-mui Yu and her team were recognised for their
research titled “Clinical outcomes after implementation of a research titled “Artificial intelligence–based computer-aided
lung nodule surveillance programme in Hong Kong”. diagnosis for breast cancer detection on digital
mammography in Hong Kong”.

Professor Zhengqi Wu and his team were recognised for their research titled “Use of pronase in
screening for early cancers of the upper gastrointestinal tract”. As Professor Wu was unable to
attend the ceremony, the medal will be delivered to him.
