Medical Education Conference 2025:
Transforming Healthcare Training Through Technology
The Medical Education Conference 2025, held on 27 September 2025 at Run Run Shaw Hall of the Academy building,
brought together 320 healthcare educators, professionals, and technology innovators to explore the theme “Technologies
in Medical Education: AI and Beyond.” Organised by the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine with support from the
Hospital Authority, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the University of Hong Kong, and funding contributions from the
Lo’s Family Charity Fund Limited, the event showcased the collaborative spirit driving innovation in medical education.
The opening ceremony featured distinguished speakers including Professor Philip Kam-tao Li, President of the Hong
Kong Academy of Medicine, and Professor Chung-mau Lo, Secretary for Health, who emphasised embracing
technological advancement while preserving the human elements of healthcare.
