Dr. Yu-fat Chow

Dr. Chow is a specialist anaesthesiologist qualified in Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand, a Consultant Anaesthetist in Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Hong Kong Children Hospital in Hong Kong, and a Clinical Stream Coordinator (Surgical) of the Kowloon Central Cluster of the Hospital Authority. He is currently a member of the Medical Council of Hong Kong and the Founding President of the Hong Kong Society of Clinical Blood Management, which advocates patient blood management in Hong Kong.


​​​​​​​He served as the Honorary Treasurer of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine from 2016 to 2020. He made contributions to maintaining a healthy financial status of the Academy, providing a number of academic and training activities as well as ensuring that building facilities were in good condition and well-maintained. 

Dr. Chow was Past President of the Society of Anaesthetists of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong College of Anaesthesiologists. He was the Founding Chairman of the Resuscitation Council of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Society for Simulation in Healthcare. 

His research interests include cardiac and paediatric anaesthesia, trauma, resuscitation, sedation, simulation, medical education and patient safety.
