Government Flying Service (GFS) is one of the disciplinary forces safeguarding Hong Kong round the clock. In 2000, Auxiliary Medical Unit was commenced with the motto “Bring A&E to the patient”, and now there are around 30 flying doctors from various specialties and also emergency nurses providing voluntary medical services. Working out of hospital with the various adverse environment and limited resources is unique and challenging, both physically and mentally. The team witnessed many successful rescue missions but also experienced some heart-breaking rescues. Invited speakers will introduce their services, sharing their experiences as flying doctors and the way they manage stress and emotion in rescue operations. Register now
