Precautionary Measures against Dengue Fever
More local confirmed cases of dengue fever were reported recently. Centre for Health Protection (CHP) has been conducting investigations into the cases. CHP urges the public to take precautions against mosquito-transmitted diseases. The best preventive measures are to avoid mosquito bites and to eliminate pockets of stagnant water that serve as breeding sites for mosquitoes.
Click on the CHP’s DF page (www.chp.gov.hk/en/content/9/24/19.html) or DH’s Travel Health Service www.travelhealth.gov.h for further information on DF and outbreaks in other areas.
