David Todd Oration on 16 December 2005

This year's David Todd Oration will be held on 16 December 2005 (Friday) together with the 12th AGM, Fellowship Conferment Ceremony and Annual Dinner.   Prof. ZHONG Nan Shan (鍾南山教授), President of the Chinese Medical Association, has kindly agreed to be this year’s orator for the David Todd Oration, he will speak on “Flu and Avian Flu.  Due to limited number of seats available, reservations for the annual dinner will be on a first-come-first-served basis.  Please click below for details of CME accreditation for the David Todd Oration and booking form for the Annual Dinner.

Academy Policy on Reduced Subscription Rates

Fellows are requested to note that reduced rates (retired, overseas) will be effective from the next subscription year after submission of an application.  Eligible Fellows should therefore submit their applications before 31 December 2005 if they wish to enjoy the reduced rates in year 2006.   Details of the policy can be found in the Fellows Area of the Academy website.

 


 

HKAM’s 3rd Intercollegiate Scientific Meeting

The Academy’s third intercollegiate scientific meeting will be held on 25 February 2006 in conjunction with the Halnan Lecture.  The theme is "Disaster: how well prepared are we?" The Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food has agreed to be the speaker for the Halnan Lecture.  More details of the Scientific Meeting will be announced in coming months.

 

 


 

Corrigenda for 2005 Annual Report

There are mistakes on page 56 of the 2005 Annual report.  Under HKAM Representation, representatives of Central Training Advisory Committee of Hospital Authority should be Dr. K.W. Chu and Dr. C.T. Hung, and the Medical Faculties Visiting Team has dissolved.  We apologize for the mistakes made.
