Amendments to Principles and Guidelines on CME/CPD

The Education Committee recently proposed some further minor changes to the guidelines.  Council endorsed these amendments in July.  To download a new version of the guidelines, please go to the Fellows Area of this website.

The Education Committee would also like to remind Fellows to submit their CME returns to their respective Colleges on time.  This will help Colleges compile their CME reports for timely submission to the Academy.  According the CME/CPD guidelines, Fellows failing to submit returns on time will be regarded as CME/CPD non-compliant [CME/CPD non-compliance will lead to removal of Academy Fellowship and removal of one's name from the Specialist Register].  Subsequent request to review late submissions may be subject to an administrative fee to be determined by Colleges.    Fellows who will be travelling around the time for CME return submissions should plan their submission schedule ahead and should inform their Colleges of their temporary overseas contacts should they need to be away for a period of time.
