Cooking and Sketching Classes at Academy Lounge
first Kids Cooking class received a good response and was full.
Another class will be organised on 21 August 2004. Please register quickly

of Council will meet to discuss the future direction of the Academy on 28
August. The last time the Academy
held similar type of function was several years ago, and Council felt it was
time to review and have another session of brainstorming.

The Academy will have the Grand Hall in a new look in September.
The Academy Building is in use for over 6 years.
The Academy and Colleges start to face the problem of insufficient
storage space. Council has requested the House Committee to study the need
and make a recommendation to Council, which may include acquiring addition
premises in the proximity of the Academy Building.
& Workshops on 'Assessment in Medical Education: Asian and International
Perspectives' (October 29-31, 2004)
is organized by the Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong, with the Asian Medical Education Association and
the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine as affiliated
organizers. It provides
opportunities for exchange of experience and views, as well as training of
medical educators in different aspects of assessment. There will be
sessions covering assessment models and tools for medical education at
undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Faculty members and international experts
in medical education have been invited as keynote speakers and workshops on
