CME/CPD for Reinstatement of Fellowship

The Academy has recently revised its CME/CPD requirements for reinstatement of Fellowship.  Under the revised policy, an ex-Fellow applying to reinstate his Fellowship will be required to have obtained  at least 90 points within 36 months counting back from the date of application for reinstatement.   And of the  90  points required, a pro -rata number of points must be obtained WITHIN the period between the date of Fellowship removal and the date of application for reinstatement (the lapse period).  This new policy will become effective from 1 September 2006.  For more detailed information and illustrations, please download the documents below.

 


 

Visit to HKAM by Anshan City Delegation

A delegation of health professionals from Anshan City of Liaoning Province visited the Academy on 17 May 2006.  The delegation was received by the Academy Vice-President (Edu. & Exams).  A short presentation and Q&A session was also held for the visiting team to introduce the Academy and the specialist accreditation system in Hong Kong . 

 


 

Extraordinary General Meeting - 15 June 2006

Council has decided to hold an EGM on 15 June 2006 to admit new Fellows.  The EGM will be held at 7:30 pm at the Council Chamber, 10/F HKAM Jockey Club Building, 99 Wong Chuk Hang Road, Aberdeen, Hong Kong

 


 

Medico-legal Seminar Series April 2006

2006 Annual Subscriptions 

Fellows are reminded that their 2006 Annual Subscriptions were due on 1 January 2006.  Fellows should have received a demand note from either the Academy or their College.  Please be reminded that it is Council’s policy that subscriptions received by the Academy after 30 June will be subject to a surcharge of 5% on the subscription amount.  Please settle your subscription as soon as possible.  

 


 

Welcome to AOCR 2006 Hong Kong

The Organizing Committee of AOCR and Hong Kong College of Radiologists  would like to invite  Fellows to attend the 11th Asian Oceanian Congress of Radiology (11th AOCR), which will be held on 6 - 9 August 2006, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Wan Chai, Hong Kong SAR, China.

AOCR is the Congress of the Asian Oceanian Society of Radiology, which comprises 23 Member Societies from the region. Hong Kong is very honoured to host this Congress for the first time.

 A  very exciting programme  has been planned. The meeting will feature many aspects of the latest advances in imaging, like functional & molecular imaging and patient management. It also provides an opportunity for members and health professionals to review and learn from each other the wide spectrum of disease conditions, to be informed about the technological and management progress in  Fellows'  field of interest.  Fellows will find the programme comprehensive, educational and interesting.

Guest Rooms

Are you thinking of providing accommodations for the College examiners, visiting lecturers, or conference speakers during their visit to Hong Kong ? Academy Lounge

The Academy Lounge on 3/F is an ideal place for Fellows to sit back and relax with friends or associates over a glass of wine.   It can also be turned into a gallery for exhibitions of paintings and photos.  Fellows who are amateur photographer or painter can consider displaying their collection there over a period of time and share their work with visitors.   For the health-conscious Fellows, there is a fitness centre with basic gym equipment and a sauna.  There is also a VIP room at the lounge that provides an exclusive environment for private gatherings. The Academy Lounge opens daily from 12:00noon - 9:00pm (Monday to Saturday) and 9:00am - 9:00pm (Sundays and Public Holidays). Fellows' Garden

The Fellows' Garden on 3/F just outside the lounge is equipped with a BBQ counter that could cater around 20 guests.  Fellows can host full-service BBQ parties for families and friends or arrange a less formal BBQ gathering for special guests to take a break during medical conferences.  For booking information, please contact the Conference Department at 2871 8787, or [email protected]
