Amendment to HKAM Regulation

Fellows should have received the ballot papers regarding the proposed deletion of HKAM Regulation section 9(3), which states that no Fellow shall serve on the Council for a continuous period of more than 8 years.  The voting deadline is 4 June 2002.  Votes will be counted by the Auditors on 5 June.  If the proposed deletion is supported by majority of Fellows who have voted, the proposal will be submitted to LegCo for approval.  Fellows will be informed of the result in due course.  As stated in the Honorary Secretary’s covering letter enclosed with the postal ballots, the Constitutions Committee has also reviewed other parts of the Academy constitutions and these are being scrutinized.
