The Academy expresses our profound sadness on the untimely death of an outstanding Fellow, Dr. LAU Tai Kwan, James.

Dr. Lau came down with SARS at the early days of the epidemic.  He battled the disease, suffered bitterly and was the first medical professional to succumb to the disease.

Dr. Lau’s death is a great loss to the medical profession and the Academy.

To Dr. Lau’s family, the Academy expresses our sincere belated condolence.
